This IGCSE history paper is not usually an essay. The syllabus usually asks you to read more on the subject. For this IGCSE History Paper the syllabus has not specified a writing style, it has only told you to read more on the subject. IGCSE history does have at least one text that explains how you can write a historical document for your history project. That text is called the General History Principles Handbook and is found here: There are a number of available resources for students to find what they need for their IGCSE history projects. Your school library has a lot of History books available to choose from. Your local university or college library will have some as well. You can also buy general histories by Kenneth Browne and Jay Witman. Other than these two books you will find numerous sources of information in the internet. Browse online and you will find plenty of information. These are free resources and are usually able to give you some insight into the different approaches to historical writing that you can use. It will not matter which approach you use as long as you are clear about what you are writing and using the English language. IGCSE history is about writing something you will be proud of. This means you will need to be clear about what you are writing. IGCSE history is not an essay - IGCSE history is about a big project that you will be proud of andit should not be too hard to write.
